About Women Ground Breakers
WOMEN GROUND BREAKERS (WGB) was created in 2001 as the Women's Council on Diversity in Chattanooga TN. The group is an ongoing source of cutting-edge programs and resources for diversity, inclusion, and cultural expertise. In 2007, we launched the American Diversity Report using social network technology to educate about cultures along with a Global-Southern Leadership Class. Use the videos of WGB Women’s History Storytelling in your classrooms and training sessions. In 2015, we joined the LEAN IN national movement as the Chattanooga LEAN IN Circle. Deborah Levine, Founder of Chattanooga LEAN IN Circle - WomenGroundBreakers, a longtime writer and speaker launched "Guide to Religious Diversity in the U.S. Workplace" and "The Liberator’s Daughter" in 2016.
Deborah sought a community leader that was passionate for carrying the flame and making a positive difference for women in this community. She knew Denise Reed was actively involved in women's issues, a public speaker, successful business owner, and had several conversations about diversity. Deborah made the offer to lead Chattanooga LEAN IN Circle - WomenGroundBreakers to Denise and she accepted in 2016.
We invite you to join us in our year-round goal: ASPIRE & INSPIRE! #LeanInTogether
